FOX sets winter return date for Touch

Kiefer Sutherland’s paranormal family drama is headed back to our TV screens at mid-season, and Martin Bohm and his son

Kiefer Sutherland’s paranormal family drama is headed back to our TV screens at mid-season, and Martin Bohm and his son Jake are on their way to Los Angeles.

Season Two of Touch premieres February 1, 2013, on its new night: Fridays at 9/8c.

The story follows Martin Bohm and his young son Jake, who is one of a handful of people who can see the connections between everyone. Now on the run from a shadowy company that is hunting Jake and those like him, the pair arrive in Los Angeles — where they join up with a mother and her equally gifted daughter, Amelia.

Joining Sutherland and David Mazouz (Jake) on the cast this season are Maria Bello as Lucy Robbins and Saxon Sharbino as Amelia.  Lukas Haas (“Calvin Norburg”) and Said Taghmaoui (“Guillermo Ortiz”) also join the cast. Haas’ character is a genius who works for the mysterious Astor Corps; Ortiz is a former Jesuit priest turned killing machine.

Keith David (The Cape) will also guest star in an episode as Dutch, an ex-Navy SEAL and an old friend of Martin’s. Also guest starring is Ayelet Zurer (Angels & Demons) as Rosemary Mathis, a gifted architect with her own hidden talents (TV Line).

Finally, a trio of actors are joining the show in recurring roles: Greg Ellis (24), John Boyd (24), and Dileep Rao (Inception). Ellis will play a journalist and old friend of Martin’s. Boyd plays Kase, a brilliant mathematician and close confidant of Calvin Norburg. Rao plays Vikash Nayar, a wealthy and influential shareholder at Astor Corps, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Executive produced by Heroes creator Tim Kring, Touch was originally slated to premiere this past week and air alongside the final episodes of Fringe, but FOX reshuffled it to mid-season instead. Kitchen Nightmares will take its intended place for the remainder of the fall season.
