Falling Skies Video Games Launching In 2014
The hit alien invasion series is coming to multiple gaming consoles.
TNT and game developer Little Orbit have announced plans to bring the hit alien invasion series to multiple gaming consoles.
The Falling Skies video games begin this holiday season with a game for mobile devices, followed by console games in 2014. The titles “will tie directly into the television series, with a scenario that will weave itself into the existing universe and feature voice work by the show’s actors,” according to the press release.
The show stars Noah Wyle as Tom Mason, a former history professor who becomes a resistance leader after Earth is invaded by an alien race.
“Little Orbit’s mission is to identify high-quality licenses and bring their world to gamers in a truly unique and interactive experience,” Little Orbit president Matt Scott said. “We are collaborating closely with the show’s own writers to craft the game’s storyline, wholly integrating the Falling Skies universe into a visceral gaming experience.”
The game developer was formed by veterans of the gaming industry in 2010, with an emphasis on extending popular media into games through “transmedia” content and story-telling. Current projects include tie-in games for the kids’ properties Young Justice, Monster High, and Barbie.
Falling Skies concluded its third season last week, with 3.74 million viewers tuning into the finale.
