ABC’s brand new teaser spot for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. includes our first look at Cobie Smulders’ Agent Maria Hill — plus brand new footage from after the pilot.

The series stars Clark Gregg, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, and Elizabeth Henstridge. Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) appears in the first episode, reprising her role from the blockbuster feature film The Avengers.
In the scene, Agent Hill talks with Agent Grant Ward (Dalton) about the “new world” that has emerged following the Battle of New York — the climatic confrontation of the world’s superheroes with an alien invasion force in the movie.
Based on the Marvel cinematic universe, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been picked as a sure hit of the new fall season by New Media Metrics. (Other new genre shows to make the agency’s Top 10 list are ABC’s Once Upon A Time In Wonderland, and FOX’s Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow.)
