Atlantis Episode 2 Synopsis: Jason Meets Medusa
We’ve got story details for episode 2 of the new fantasy drama!
Fantasy fans in the United Kingdom have just six days to wait before the premiere of the much-anticipated new series Atlantis. We’ve already reported on the storyline for episode 1, “The Earth Bull” — which will see Jason and his friends confront the deadly minotaur.
Today new details have arrived on episode 2 of the show, which will introduce the legendary Medusa (Jemima Rooper, pictured above). (Watch out for a significant spoiler for episode 1.)
The fantasy drama continues, and despite the fame they have achieved from slaying the Minotaur, Jason and his friends Hercules and Pythagoras are still penniless and hungry. So when an old man asks them to find his missing daughter, it looks like things are on the up. There’s just one problem — the girl has been taken by the fanatical worshippers of the god Dionysys. The mission seems to be over before it has begun — but then Jason comes face to face with a stranger called Medusa.
There’s no title for the episode just yet. It will air Saturday, October 5 starting at 8:25 p.m. on BBC One.
Catch the Atlantis premiere this Saturday in the U.K., and October 12 on SPACE in Canada (story). In the U.S., the series starts November 23 on BBC America.
