BBC’s Atlantis Coming to Canada and France
The fantasy drama premieres on SPACE on October 12.
The BBC’s must-awaited new fantasy drama Atlantis is going international.
In addition to its already announced debuts on BBC One in the United Kingdom (September 28) and BBC America in the U.S. (November 23), today BBC Worldwide announced that it has sold rights to the show in Canada and France.
SPACE will air the series in Canada starting with a 2-episode premiere on Saturday, October 12 (8 p.m. Eastern).
Premium cable channel Canal+ has the rights to Atlantis in France, though no date has been announced yet.
The SPACE announcement also comes with a new photo of series lead Jack Donnelly as Jason.
Atlantis follows Jason as he goes in search of his father, and is washed up on the shores of the fantastical island nation. Mark Addy and Robert Emms co-star as Hercules and Pythagoras (respectively), along with Jemima Rooper as Medusa, Juliet Stevenson as The Oracle, Alexander Siddig as Minos, Sarah Parish as Pasiphaë, and Aiysha Hart as Ariadne.
