Dylan Neal To Appear On Arrow
He’ll play a class DC villain in a recurring role.
Actor Dylan Neal is headed to Arrow, according to a report at ScreenCrush.
The Dawson’s Creek and Percy Jackson veteran will play DC villain Dr. Anthony Ivo — “a ruthless scientist who will stop at nothing to unearth a breakthrough that dates back to the latter days of World War II,” according to the site. He’ll appear in Oliver’s flashbacks to his time living on the island. His 4-episode arc begins with the fifth episode of the new season, “League of Assassins.”
In the comics, Ivo is responsible for creating the dangerous, powers-mimicking android Amazo.
Neal currently co-stars opposite Andie MacDowell in Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove on Lifetime.

In other Arrow news, TV Line is reporting that John Barrowman will return this season as Malcolm Merlyn, a.k.a. the Dark Archer. He will appear “sometime in Season Two,” and in at least two episodes — despite his apparent death in last season’s finale.
Of course, an “appearance” could mean all sorts of things — a dream, a vision, or a simple flashback. Or could the Dark Archer have actually survived his encounter with Oliver?
