Sci-Fi This Week: S.H.I.E.L.D. Has An Asgard Relic, Almost Human Has Sexbots
Find out what’s airing in science fiction and fantasy this week.
If you missed last night’s premiere of Almost Human (or if you watched it, for that matter!) you won’t want to miss Night 2 of the series premiere tonight! (Its regular time slot will be Mondays at 8/7c.) The futuristic sci-fi show follows a Los Angeles detective and his android partner, and looks to be the more pure, unadulterated, hard science fiction to air on a broadcast network since Firefly. We love the show already, and we can’t wait for more.
But if that’s not your cup of tea, there is plenty more airing this week in the sci-fi and fantasy genre! Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is following up on the big-screen feature Thor: The Dark World with an Asgard relic, Sleepy Hollow tangles with the Headless Horseman, and we learn more about Alice’s tragic backstory on Once Wonderland.
BBC America is also back in the genre game this Saturday: the U.S. premiere of the family fantasy drama Atlantis will follow the 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who. In fact, all week long the cable channel will show Doctor Who specials and marathons leading up to the epic new story, “The Day of the Doctor.”
New episodes of Once Upon A Time, Grimm and The Originals have the week off.
