Sci-Fi This Week: Resurrection‘s Season Finale, Supernatural Explores Its ‘Bloodlines’
Find out what’s airing in science fiction and fantasy this week.
ABC didn’t lead off its fall schedule with the sci-fi tinged drama Resurrection. It didn’t even start the show at mid-season, but held off until March to begin a very short, 8-episode season. Well, whatever the strategy behind that scheduling move, Resurrection has been a big hit. The show debuted to almost 14 million people, and has averaged over 9.7 million over six weeks.
This next Sunday the show’s first season wraps up, and hopefully we’ll get at least some answers to its ongoing mystery. How have the returned come back? Have they been sent by someone? Do they have a secret agenda? Do they even know what that is?
Also this week: Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) guest stars as (former) Agent Maria Hill on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and we get a peek at a potential new Supernatural spin-off in this Tuesday’s episode — a planted pilot for Supernatural: Bloodlines, which has a good shot of making The CW’s fall schedule. And Revolution is back after a 3-week hiatus!
