Sci-Fi This Week: Season Finales For Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Arrow, Grimm And More

We’re heading into the heart of season finale season, and what a year it has been! Thanks to the 2013-2014 broadcast year we have some favorite new shows (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The 100), and we’re glad that they will be back next season.

This week the major U.S. broadcast networks are rolling out their fall schedules and new show trailers … so stay tuned for our full coverage of what’s new, what’s returning, and what’s cancelled in the world of science fiction and fantasy.

But before we get to that, it’s time for more season finales! This week wraps up Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Grimm, and The CW’s Arrow, The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and (just cancelled) Star-Crossed.

STAR-CROSSED
The CW, 8/7c – SERIES FINALE!
“Passion Lends Them Power.” After Roman is badly hurt, Emery turns to an unexpected ally for help. Meanwhile, Grayson, Drake, Sophia and Lukas race to find the stolen Suvek before the Trags can activate it. However, Vega is a step ahead of them and sets off the Suvek in the middle of a Marti Gras parade.

METAL HURLANT CHRONICLES
Syfy, 10/9c
“Pledge of Anya.” A warrior pledges to destroy a demon that may actually be a 6-year-old boy.

“Back to Reality.” A so-called “dream fixer” helps his wealthy clients transport themselves into new realities and worlds.

WAREHOUSE 13
Syfy, 9/8c
“Cangku Shisi.” Valda escapes from Paracelsus’s alternate universe, and then hatches an evil plan to move the Warehouse to China in order to profit from all of its power, and tries to use Claudia’s comatose sister as a puppet Caretaker.

AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.
ABC, 8/7c – SEASON FINALE!
“Beginning of the End.” Dark secrets are revealed as Coulson and his team put everything on the line to stop Garrett and the forces of Hydra.

THE ORIGINALS
The CW, 8/7c – SEASON FINALE!
“From a Cradle to a Grave.” Season 1 ends with Hayley trying to protect her unborn baby from the witches. Meanwhile, Francesca meets with Oliver and Jackson to determine the future of the werewolves in New Orleans; and Davina and Cami join forces to take down Klaus, who is forced to make a heartbreaking decision.

SUPERNATURAL
The CW, 9/8c
“Stairway to Heaven.” Tessa the Reaper returns and leads a conspiracy against Castiel’s angel followers. Meanwhile, Dean is eager to use the First Blade when the angels are attacked, but Sam worries about the cost to his brother whenever he uses it.

REVOLUTION
NBC, 8/7c
“Memorial Day.” United by their desire to take the Patriots down, Neville and Monroe form an uneasy alliance. As Rachel comes face-to-face with the nano-tech while searching for Aaron, things don’t go according to plan for Miles, Charlie and Gene when they try to steal the Patriots’ supply of mustard gas.

ARROW
The CW, 8/7c – SEASON FINALE!
“Unthinkable.” Slade moves forward with his plan to kill one more person in Oliver’s life. While Oliver has fought all year to be more than the killer he once was, when Slade kidnaps someone close to Oliver’s heart, Oliver is pushed to the edge. Meanwhile, Diggle takes on Amanda Waller with a little help from some friends.

THE 100
The CW, 9/8c
“Unity Day.” Clarke and Finn attempt to broker peace with the Grounders but all hell breaks loose when Bellamy, Jasper and Raven show up armed and ready for battle. Octavia and Lincoln grow closer. Meanwhile, tragedy strikes during the Unity Day celebration on the Ark.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES
The CW, 8/7c – SEASON FINALE!
“Home.” Season 5 ends with Damon trying to stop the disintegration of the Other Side. Meanwhile, Elena takes matters into her own hands and demands that Liv and Luke help her; and Markos uses violence against Tyler/Julian to prove that Mystic Falls is under the control of the Travelers.

GRIMM
NBC, 9/8c – SEASON FINALE!
“Blond Ambition.” It’s Monroe and Rosalee’s big day and their joy will only be matched by unexpected heartache for those around them. Nick and Juliette make a startling realization that could shake their relationship to its core. Meanwhile, Adalind proceeds with a delicately laid plan that leads to a catastrophic event that will alter the course of Nick’s journey.

CONTINUUM
Syfy, 10/9c
“Waning Minutes.” Kiera crash lands her CPS flyer during a prisoner transport and is forced to work with her enemy captive in order to survive. In present day, the mystery of Kiera’s murder is solved when Alec finds a way to recover the recording of her final moments from her CMR.

ORPHAN BLACK
BBC America, 9/8c
“Ipsa Scientia Potestas Est.” Rachel goes on the warpath, lashing out at Sarah’s nearest and dearest. While she tries to keep her loved ones safe, an unexpected visitor threatens to derail Sarah’s plans.

GAME OF THRONES
HBO, 9/8c
“Mockingbird.” Tyrion enlists an unlikely ally. Daario entreats Dany to allow him to do what he does best. Jon’s warnings about the Wall’s vulnerability fall on deaf ears. Brienne follows a new lead on the road with Pod.
