Sci-Fi This Week: The Viper Faces The Mountain, Orphan Black‘s Alison Faces Exposure
Find out what’s airing in science fiction and fantasy this week.
We’re in that awkward, in-between stage in the TV broadcast season … after the major broadcast networks have concluded their shows but before the summer series really get going. So we’re down to just five genre shows airing this week.
On the plus side, these are some of our favorite shows! The 100 is roaring toward its season finale (while the writers start to plan for Season Two), with an all-out war with the Grounders drawing ever closer. On Continuum Kiera deals with a major loss. And Game of Thrones will see the epic (and inevitable) clash between the Mountain and Prince Oberyn, a.k.a. the Red Viper.
Meanwhile Alison is falling apart on Orphan Black when a member of her rehab group threatens to tell the world the truth about her role in Aynsley’s death, prompting her clone sisters to come to the rescue.
Here’s your schedule for this week in sci-fi and fantasy television:
The CW, 9/8c
“The Calm.” With a low food supply at camp, Clarke and Finn lead a group out to hunt for food and wind up in a compromising position. With Finn’s life in danger, Clarke makes a game-changing decision. Meanwhile, Raven makes Bellamy an offer he can’t refuse. On the Ark, Kane risks his life and is reunited with Chancellor Jaha and Abby.
Syfy, 10/9c
“Minute of Silence.” Kiera and Carlos, reeling from a shocking loss, hunt down a ring of enigmatic high-tech thieves, even as a handsome, yet distant amnesiac begs for help in discovering his identity.
BBC America, 9/8c
“Knowledge of Causes, and Secret Motion of Things.” When a rehab confidante betrays Alison and threatens to expose the truth about Aynsley’s death, she goes into free fall on the eve of Family Day. With Donnie and the kids set to visit, it’s all clones on deck to contain the fallout.
NBC, 9/8c
“Revelation.” As Channing struggles to recover from her gunshot wound, Winter takes desperate measures to keep her alive. With Winter distracted, Bo and Tate sneak away to confront Skouras and demand he stop pursuing them.
HBO, 9/8c
“The Mountain and the Viper.” Mole’s Town receives unexpected visitors. Littlefinger’s motives are questioned. Ramsay attempts to prove himself to his father. Tyrion’s fate is decided.
