The prequel series will chronicle the rise of the Bene Gesserit order thousands of years before Paul Atreides.
Our very first look at the upcoming television series Dune: Prophecy is finally here, thanks to this week’s upfront advertising presentation by Warner Bros. Discovery. The studio released the first trailer for the show, confirming that it will stream on Max (formerly HBO Max) this fall.
Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. The show has long been in development at HBO as an expansion of director Denis Villeneuve hit feature films.
The series premieres this fall with a 6-episode first season. Check out the trailer:
Dune: Prophecy is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. The novel was published in 2012 as a new chapter in the venerable science fiction universe created by Frank Herbert.
