House of the Dragon: Watch The Brand New Trailer For Season 2
HBO’s fantasy epic looks to be going even bigger with the second season, as war brews over the Iron Throne.
House of the Dragon returns with its fire-breathing second season in just a matter of weeks, and today HBO released a brand new trailer for the sprawling fantasy drama.
The trailer showcases the increasingly explosive tensions between two factions of House Targaryen, which stands on the brink of war over their competing claims to the Iron Throne of Westeros. As Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke) fights to secure her son’s position in King’s Landing, Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) seeks to keep her tenuous alliances as she reasserts her claim as the heir of King Viserys.

The new season begins June 16 (9/8c) on HBO and Max.
House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, and tells the story of House Targaryen. It is based on George R.R. Martin’s novel Fire & Blood.
Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, and Emma D’Arcy return for Season 2 alongside co-stars Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham also return for Season 2.
New to the series this season are Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong, Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.
