Adam Strange returns to Krypton to find General Zod in control, and falls in with the underground resistance movement. Seg-El is trapped in the Phantom Zone, until a familiar face offers a possible way out.
Seg and Adam find themselves held by an alien bounty hunter, who is on the hunt for Brainiac. As the resistance considers its next move against Zod's new empire, Lyta tries to whip the Sagitari recruits into shape.
On the run from Lobo, Seg and Adam make their way across a world they know nothing about -- while Seg also fights against Brainiac inside his own head. Nyssa searches for her place among the Rebels.

General Zod digs into the memories of Doomsday in an effort to control Krypton's deadliest weapon. Meanwhile Nyssa takes Seg to the Fortress to try and remove Brainiac from his mind.
General Zod uses a creature called the Black Mercy on someone close to him, trapping her inside her body and an idyllic alternate version of her life. Meanwhile Dev and Jayna join forces with Seg and Nyssa to attack Zod's new fleet on the eve of its launch.
Seg and the others travel to Wegthor to warn them of General Zod's imminent attack on the moon. But the rebels find themselves unprepared for Zod's unstoppable new weapon.
