After a Time Bureau agent sends up a flare from 2042 the team meets Zari Tomaz, an outlaw being targeted by a dangerous metahuman time traveler who can turn herself into water.
Ray's sudden disappearance sends the Legends to his childhood home in 1988, where a young Ray has befriended a baby Dominator -- putting him in the crosshairs of nefarious government agents, as well as the alien's mother.
The team tracks an anachronism to 1897 London, where they find Rip Hunter on the trail of what looks like a vampire draining victims' blood -- which he believes is connected to a cult's plot to resurrect an old enemy. Meanwhile Zari struggles her past, and Ray agrees to help Jefferson separate Firestorm.
Helen of Troy's appearance in 1930s Hollywood sparks an all-out-war -- literally -- amongst the studios, sending the Legends to try and find her before the future is changed. But things get complicated when Ray's attempt to undo Martin and Jax's bond leaves their minds in one another's bodies.
The Legends arrive in Vietnam at the height of the war, where a powerful force is attacking both sides for his own sinister purpose. Martin struggles to solve the problem of splitting Firestorm, and Mick must deal with his personal issues when he meets his Green Beret father in the jungle.
The Atom and the other Legends return just in time to come to the aid of Supergirl and the others who have been imprisoned by Earth-X Oliver and Overgirl -- who plan to use their Waverider to attack Central City. Meanwhile, one of the Legends lies near death in the aftermath of the fight to get home from Earth-X.
As the team mourns a major loss, Ava Sharpe joins them to try and resolve a high-level anachronism at Leif Erikson's Viking settlement in the New World -- where the arrival of a talking toy from modern-day has altered the course of American history. Meanwhile, Leo Snart tries to get Mick to improve himself.
Occult specialist John Constantine visits the Waverider after encountering a demon-possessed girl who knows Sara Lance's name, and the Legends try to help cast out the demon -- leading to a clash with Mallus inside a psychiatric hospital. Meanwhile, Amaya tries to connect with her granddaughter.
As the team returns from a mission to the 1970s Zari attempts an experiment with Gideon's mainframe, landing her in a time loop where the Waverider is destroyed over and over again.
Nick finds a lead on the Earth Totem, sending the Waverider to the pirate-infested Bahamas in 1717 -- where they hope to join the crew of the legendary Blackbeard. Elsewhere Rip Hunter tracks down a speedster ally, and Sara takes some personal time.
After kidnapping Ray the Darhks attempt to rescue a scientist from 1962 East Germany, who might be able to help them restore the Fire Totem -- if Nora and Ray can rescue him from Damien's younger assassin self. Rip and Wally West arrive on the Waverider, and Amaya and Zari use meditation to try and locate a missing totem.
When the Death Totem shows up in Memphis in 1954 the legends must restore history by saving rock and roll, helping a young Elvis Presley escape the confines of his oppressive uncle and be discovered. But things get complicated when the totem begins bringing people back from the dead.
Mallus takes control of Sara's body after tempting her to wield the Death Totem, putting the rest of the crew in grave danger. Elsewhere Ava turns to John Constantine for help -- and Sara finds herself trapped in Mallus' domain.
When Ava goes missing Sara, Ray, and Gary uncover a disturbing mystery aoubt Ava's past that takes them to the twenty-third century. Nate and Wally head to Detroit when they learn that Amaya's granddaughter Mari is still trying to protect the city without her totem.
Damien Darhk comes to the Legends for help when it becomes clear that the arrival of Mallus will mean the end of his daughter. While the team tangles with Grodd in 1972, Nate and Wally try to stop Amaya from interfering with her own family history in Zambesi.
When the plan to defeat Mallus doesn't go as planned, Rip is forced to improvise. As the Legends to go into hiding in Wild-West South Dakota, Mallus sends his own avatars ripped out of time to challenge. Amaya goes on a vision quest to discover the secrets of the totems, and Ray takes matters into his own hands to help Nora.
