Mobius and Loki interrogate a former TVA Hunter who has been trying to live a new life as a movie star in 1977, and who may know where they can find Silvie hiding in history.
To avert a catastrophe Loki and Mobius visit the Chicago World's Fair in search of Miss Minutes, only to find a variant of He Who Remains – who has been set on a path to power by Miss Minutes and Ravonna Renslayer.
With help from Victor Timely, Loki and the others attempt to prevent the catastrophic failure of the Temporal Loom – as Renslayer and Miss Minutes try to take over the TVA. Meanwhile, Ravonna learns the truth of her past connection with He Who Remains.
After time-slipping away from the TVA Loki finds his friends living their lives in various branched timelines, with no knowledge of the TVA. But saving all of reality may prove more difficult than just reuniting the team.
With the fate of the multiverse on the line Loki uses his newfound ability to try and correct the team's failure to fix the Loom, over and over again ... while his own uncertain fate moves ever closer.
