As Syril Karn's forces land on Ferrix in search of their murder suspect, Cassian meets a mysterious buyer who appears to have his own agenda — and Bix learns that she has been betrayed.
Cassian agrees to join a team who have long been planning a dangerous operation to steal from an Imperial garrison on Aldhani, though his new companions are reluctant to trust him. Elsewhere, Luthen Rael makes contact with a Senator who is secretly in league with the rebellion.
On the eve of their plan to infiltrate the Imperial garrison, "Clem" and his new compatriots clash over secrets. On Coruscant Mon Mothma navigates conflict within her own home.
Cassian receives less than a warm welcome when he returns to Ferrix, while Meero is called out for her subterfuge inside the ISB. Mon Mothma seeks to bring an old friend into her conspiracy, and Karn starts a new job.
Cassian is brought to a labor prison on Narkina 5, where he must quickly acclimate to his new task in order to survive. Luthen is placed in a difficult position when Bix tries to make contact from Ferrix, and at the I.S.B. Meero questions Karn about his failed operation.
Cassian works on a plan to try and escape from the Imperial prison on Narkina 5, though the leader of his shift seems unwilling to help him. Meera's interrogation of Bix points to Cassian's involvement in the raid on Aldhani, and Mon Mothma reunites with her cousin, Vel.
With help from Kino, Cassian and his cellmates make a bold and deadly attempt to break out of their prison. Mon's efforts to conceal her financial support of the rebels puts her in a difficult situation when a shady businessman suggests an arranged marriage for their children, and Luthen must keep an I.S.B. informant in line.
While the people of Ferrix are shaken by the death of Maarva, Meera realizes it presents an opportunity to lure Cassian Andor to her funeral. Meanwhile Luthen is forced to confess his ruthless tactics to Saw Gerrera after he agrees to help with Kreegyr's attack on Spellhaus, and soon finds himself in the sights of an Imperial patrol.
As all of Ferrix assembles to honor Maarva, Meero prepares to spring her trap on Andor – who sets himself to free Bix. Syril Karn returns to Ferrix, and Mon Mothma and her husband introduce their daughter to the son of Davo Sculdun.
