Hundreds of years from now, the last surviving humans discover the means of sending consciousness back through time and assume the lives of seemingly random people in the twenty-first century in order to save humanity from a terrible future.
MacLaren's team faces threats to their cover and a viral outbreak as history begins to shift around them, while the very first Traveler attempts to stay out of history's eye.
With their existence now leaked to the world, the team must find a way to keep knowledge of the Travelers program from the general public, while continuing to perform missions under the watchful eye of the F.B.I.
