Syfy Will Air Bryan Fuller’s High Moon Pilot

The scrapped show sees the light of day September 15

Syfy Channel may have passed on High Moon as a TV series, but that won’t stop the cable channel from airing the 90-minute pilot episode as a one-off movie.

The network will air High Moon this Monday, September 15 (9/8c) — much as it did for the last pilot it passed on, the time travel pilot Rewind. (That one went on to get more than 1 million viewings on YouTube and raise viewer outrage that it wasn’t picked up to series.)

High Moon was created by Bryan Fuller (Hannibal, Pushing Daisies), and tells the story of a mining colony that is operated on the surface of the Earth’s moon. When a new form of life is discovered, factions race to exploit its secrets. It stars Jake Sandvig, Chris Diamantopoulos, Jonathan Tucker, Charity Wakefield, and Dana Davis.

In the meantime, Fuller has moved on to helm an adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel American Gods for Starz.

Watch Syfy’s 20-second teaser, plus a couple of cool preview scenes, below. Then check out the pilot on Monday night and judge for yourself if this was a dud or a missed opportunity!
