Sci-Fi This Week: Enemy Ships Attack On The Expanse
Find out what’s airing in science fiction and fantasy
Syfy’s new drama The Expanse is the last show standing as we pay the check and collect our after-dinner mints on 2015.
In this week’s new episode Holden and the crew of the Donnager are under assault from a group of mysterious war ships, while Miller continues his missing persons search.
It’s been a good year for science fiction and fantasy on television. Some of our personal highlights:
- Netflix stepped into the genre with Marvel’s Daredevil and Jessica Jones, two exceptional shows that push the envelope in . Both are definitely binge-worthy, and we’re ready for more next year with Daredevil Season Two (featuring Jon Bernthal as the Punisher), Luke Cage, and some more news about Iron Fist.
- Syfy is back in the outer space business with two fun summer shows: Killjoys and Dark Matter. Both are coming back next year, and we’re looking forward to going deeper into their respective mythologies and learning more about their characters.
- Humans is an intriguing new series from AMC and the U.K.’s Channel 4: a world where life-like androids are common place in society, and where a special group of “Synths” have achieved real sentience. It’s one of our favorite new shows of the year.
- The Flash has been super strong right out of the gate, with 2015 bringing the second half of Season One and the first of Season Two on The CW. This is a show that has always known exactly what it was, and it’s never been so much fun to see the DC universe realized on the small screen.
